The Japanese Consortium for Lao Health Research was established in 2003,
by Japanese who are eager to help to advance the health of Lao people.
Currently, the consortium consists of more than 50 Japanese including researchers
from a variety of expertise, health practitioners and health policy advisers.

with consortium members and to implement a research and project in a more
efficient manner. The consortium also promotes human resource development
among Lao and Japanese young practitioners and researchers. The National
Institute of Public Health, Lao PDR, has annually held a National Health
